Which Coffee Pouch Should You Choose? Pour-Over, Cold Brew, EEP, or Brezi

Oct 24, 2026

A coffee pouch can make brewing simpler—but different pouches are made for different routines.

Some sit over your mug. Some steep in cold water. Others contain coffee portioned and ground for a particular brewer.

At Regent Coffee, our ReadyBrew collection includes four formats. Here’s how to choose the one that fits the way you make coffee.

For a Mug and Hot Water: Portable Pour-Over Pouches

Choose our portable pour-over pouches when you want freshly brewed filter coffee without carrying a grinder, dripper, or scale.

Each pouch contains ground coffee inside a filter with side supports that rest on your mug. Open the filter, extend the supports, and pour hot water through the coffee in stages.

This is a useful option for a hotel room, an office, or a trip where hot water is available but your usual brewing equipment isn’t.

It’s ground coffee that you brew and filter—not instant coffee that dissolves in water.

Our portable pour-over options include a 10-pack with coffee selections and a 30-pack Roaster’s Choice.

For Coffee You Prepare Ahead: Cold Brew Pouches

Choose cold brew pouches when you prefer a cold drink and have time to let the coffee steep.

Instead of pouring hot water through a hanging filter, you add water to the cold brew pouch and let the coffee extract over time. Follow the filling and brewing instructions supplied with your pouch.

This format suits a prepare-ahead routine: start a brew before you need it, then enjoy it cold when it’s ready.

Our cold brew pouches come in a five-pack, with coffee choices listed on the product page.

Choose these for cold steeping. Choose portable pour-over pouches for brewing directly over a mug with hot water.

For Your Hikaru Brewer: EEP × Hiroia

EEP stands for Exact Extract Pouch.

These pouches contain coffee prepared for use with the Hikaru smart brewer. We grind and sift the coffee before packing it, so you can start with prepared coffee instead of weighing and grinding beans for each brew.

EEP is a practical choice if you already use Hikaru and want a simpler preparation routine. The coffee selection rotates, and the current product comes in a pack of 30 pouches.

For Your Brezi System: Brezi Ready Pouch

Brezi Ready Pouches contain coffee portioned and ground for the Brezi brewing system.

Each box contains ten pouches, with 20 grams of coffee per pouch. The format removes the weighing and grinding steps from your preparation.

Choose these if you use Brezi. Check the product page for the coffees currently included in the box.

EEP and Brezi Ready Pouches are intended for their respective brewing systems; choose the pouch that matches your equipment.
