A washed Red Bourbon from Nyamasheke, near Lake Kivu in Rwanda’s Western Province. Chocolate depth and brown-sugar aromatics meet bright citrus, delicate florals, and a creamy, medium-bodied cup.

Behind the coffee

Celestin and Marie Rumenerangabo and more than 200 contributing households bring this coffee to Muhororo washing station. After pulping, the coffee ferments for 12–14 hours, is washed, and dries on raised beds for 12–15 days.

This is the original, uninfused Rwanda that forms the foundation of our EXP009+ Jasmine Infused Rwanda. Enjoy its origin character on its own, or brew the two side by side to explore how our post-process work changes the cup.
